The project is the brainchild of veteran British musician and singer Ray Price who now makes his home in Providence, Rhode Island. Ray performed with many popular bands in England in the sixties and seventies, playing bass and singing. Ray scoured New England for musicians who could recreate the music of his homeland and his much loved music of California, while putting their own, individual interpretation on it. He hit the jackpot when he came across bass and wind player Steve Tapper. Steve introduced him to drummer Steve Jounakos and guitarist Arnie Rosen. The three of them have spent many years performing music of all kinds together, in all kinds of incarnations, while developing a rock solid playing style. Steve Tapper serves as the very accomplished arranger / music director for the quartet, and is able to preserve the essence of this much loved material, while breathing new life into the mix. Expect songs that you will want to sing along to, dance to and have a great time listening to. Mr. Tambourine Man brings a love of the music and a desire to make it relevant to a modern audience to their presentation. Please call Ray Price @ 401.226.6934 or Steve Tapper @ 617.460.4709 for bookings. You can email mrtambourinemanband@gmail.com |
