Sally Sinclair Beckham discovered her love for singing and music at a very early age, when she began performing in public at school, church, and various venues at the age of 8. In her late teens and early 20s, she travelled all over the U.S. as lead vocalist with a rock band, gigging in clubs. Later, traveling through Europe to study her ancestral connections to Clan Sinclair and various mystery traditions, she developed an appreciation for all forms of “World” music; in particular, the Scots Gaelic songs of her heritage. Sally has studied on the Isle of Skye at Sabhal Mor Ostaig with the celebrated native Gaelic singer, Christine Primrose. Sally loves collecting Scots Gaelic (Ghaidhlig) songs and English folk songs to add to her repertoire, and enjoys performing “the old songs” for contemporary audiences.
